How to Clean and care for SodaStream Bottles
Looking for some tips & tricks to keep your bottles squeaky clean? We’ve got you covered!
Can you Wash SodaStream Bottles?
Our dishwasher-safe carbonating bottles are safe to wash up to 70°C.
If your dishwasher has a visible heating element (which can be found in older dishwashers), do not place the bottles directly above it.
Sparkle Tip: Don’t put your bottle over more than one prong as it can deform the spout.
Our 1 litre carbonating bottles can’t go in the dishwasher. These should be cleaned by hand in lukewarm water.
Bubble Hint: A small amount of lemon juice can be used to remove stains & odour.
Got a damaged or deformed bottle? It’s time for a new one! While your at it, get those hard to reach places with a bottle brush!
If you have our glass bottles care for these is easy as it is dishwasher safe. If you prefer to hand wash, simply rinse it with cold or lukewarm water.
Need to clean the base of the bottle?
We recommend cleaning our carbonating bottles by hand in warm water, adding a small amount of lemon juice to remove stains & odour. Please avoid using abrasive cloths (as you might scratch your bottles).
You can also try using denture cleaning tables (you can buy these from most chemists or supermarkets) and follow the directions to soak your bottles. It is also recommended to drain your carbonating bottles upside down to dry, but also make sure to move the bottles every now and then so that no moisture is trapped in the base of the bottle.
