We’ve all heard that you need to drink 8 glasses of water a day, but do you know why it is so important?

Hydration is responsible for how we think, feel and perform! From regulating our body temp to keeping our organs functioning, to ensure that we continue to live our best lives, and we are the healthiest and happiest versions of ourselves inside and out, it is important that you stay hydrated.

How much water should you drink a day?

We should be drinking no less than 2 litres a day, but more if we are particularly active, live in warmer clients or drink lots of caffeine. You’ll think clearer, feel happier and sleep better, not to mention be way healthier.   

How can I drink more water?

But what do you do if you are having trouble drinking enough water throughout the day? Easy! Just remember these simple tips that you can incorporate into your daily routine.

Prioritise your Morning Water - When you first wake up, you should aim to start your day with a 500ml glass of water. Its will provide you with pure, clean energy that makes a massive difference on the inside and is reflected on the outside with that morning glow we all want to achieve. 

Don’t skip our morning Coffee -  You don't have to feel the need to ditch this part of your morning routine at all – You can enjoy your cup of coffee or tea and still hit your daily hydration goal. What you should do, is match every cup of coffee or tea you have, with an equal cup of pure water, to balance out any potential dehydrating or diuretic affect the caffeine may have on your body.

Enjoy sparkling water! If you are finding it hard to drink enough tap water, or are looking to cut down on sugary soft drinks, which won’t actually quench your thirst, sparkling water is a great option and can be a more exciting way to drink tap water.
